Fundations: Tips and Tricks for Educators

Wilson Fundations is a program used for reading, writing, and spelling. The program focuses on phonemic awareness, phonics/word study, high frequency word study, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension strategies, handwriting, and spelling. This program strives to make learning to read fun. It is based on the Orton Gillingham principles of reading instruction. The program is packed with multisensory strategies to help students in grades Kindergarten through third grade. Every educator has their own trick they use to make the program the most beneficial to them. There are an expansive amount of resources and supplemental materials available to educators for the Fundations program. This class will help educators to get the most out of the program.

This course is applicable to all educators, administrators, and any related service providers of all subjects, grades K-12.

45 hours / 3 credits in-service and graduate credits.
