Physical Science for Early Scientists
$220.00 – $240.00
Children are born with a natural tendency to try to understand the world around them. We do not often associate words like physics and chemistry with elementary-age students, and yet, they engage in them anyway. They drop, throw and push things, they mix and stir and experiment. They play and interact with anything they can get their hands on, just like little scientists. In what ways can we direct this sense of wonder to help them discover more about the things right in front of them? Teachers in this course will work on developing activities, experiments, and discussion skills appropriate for young children to practice science. Applicable to teachers of any subject/grade level.
45 hours / 3 credits inservice and graduate credits.
