How to Captivate Learners using Interactive Demos

$220.00$240.00

Science, at its core, is about observing something fascinating and trying hard to understand it. Class demonstrations have a way of captivating students’ attention and engaging them in real, scientific discussions. Within the right context, these demos can bring student understanding to a whole new level and they do not always have to be the most intricate design. How can we, as educators, provide our students with opportunities amaze and inspire while also helping students develop a passion for science? How can we shift scientific thinking from something done in a science room to something done in everyday life?
Teachers in this course will explore demos from their own disciplines, both new and used before, that not only are fun to watch, but can be used to engage students in higher level thinking. This course is applicable to all educators, guidance counselors/social workers/psychologists, administrators, and any related service providers of all subjects, grades K-12.
