How to Incorporate Social Media into your Curriculum

$220.00$240.00

Digital communication is a large part of communication for most teens.  Writing and communication skills are challenging for them to develop because today they are so used to texting shortcuts. Blogging and microblogging platforms such as Blogger or Instagram are not only useful to motivate students, to showcase their work and foster “considerate” digital critiquing skills, but allows the incorporation of writing, art and photography.  Social media validates students’ authentic assessment and teaches good digital citizenship. It encourages peer learning and expression and a platform to share their concerns.  Social Media can help the teacher with formative and summative assessment on a regular basis through the use of this online blogging site. Learn how to make social media work in a positive way for your students to use to showcase their work.
