How Daily Fitness Can Improve the Whole Child

Students will explore how physical education classes contribute to childhood social and emotional development. Regular exercise increases strength and encourages normal physical development. We will further touch upon how physical education teaches self-discipline, improves leadership/goal setting, teaches respect, and teamwork. Â We will discuss the connection between exercise, self-esteem and what effect physical education has on our students. This course is applicable to all educators, guidance counselors/social workers/psychologists, administrators, and any related service providers of all subjects, grades K-12.
45 hours / 3 credits inservice and graduate credits.
