In this course educators will gain knowledge on how to implement guided math strategies into their classroom. Guided math uses a combination of procedures and concepts while remaining student centered. A student centered approach focuses on the teacher’s facilitation of concepts and procedures. They do so in a way to empower students to gain knowledge based off of their prior knowledge. Whether you teach elementary or secondary math, this student centered approach is proven effective. Topics in this course will cover student centered vs teacher centered, key principles, and effective instructional methods.

This course is applicable to all educators, administrators, and any related service providers of all subjects, grades K-12.

45 hours / 3 credits in-service and graduate credits.
