Flipping Classrooms for Educators
$220.00 – $240.00
With limited class time, is it possible to engage with students on a deeper level while they are in front of us while also developing skills in learning through technology? This course investigates the flipped classroom where what is traditionally done in class versus at home are swapped. Working up through Bloom’s Taxonomy, students can tackle Knowledge-based content independently giving teachers more time to serve as coaches in the classroom on Understanding, Application and beyond. Utilizing technology to enable students to learn at their own pace at home while opening up class time to tackle more in-depth discussions and problem solving can lead to higher levels of thinking and greater ownership in education on the part of the student. Teachers enrolled in this course will explore various strategies for enabling students to complete lessons at home and develop in-class tasks to help reinforce what students are working on at home. This course is applicable to all educators, guidance counselors/social workers/psychologists, administrators, and any related service providers of all subjects, grades K-12.
