Enhancing Consultative Services in School-Based Therapy

$220.00$240.00

School-based therapists use a variety of service delivery models within school practice. Consultative services are an effective and evidence-based method to support students in meaningful and individualized ways in the least restrictive environment. In this course participants will consider their own perspectives on consultation services. Participants will discuss the parameters of all the service delivery models and discuss how the consultation model differs. Participants will learn the benefits of consultations, reflect on common challenges often faced when providing school-based consultations, and critically think of ways to navigate these barriers. This course will foster ways therapists can enhance their provision of consultative services and maintain mutual respect working as part of a consultative team.

This course is applicable for related service providers, K-12. 45 hours.
