Creating ENL Lesson Plans with the SIOP Model

The SIOP model is a research-based method of creating lesson plans to meet the needs of ENL learners. This model is a framework on how to deliver lessons that make content comprehensible for English language learners. After this course you will understand the importance of the SIOP model, how to create a lesson using this framework, the importance of the 8 components and 30 features of this model, and how to simplify this into your own daily lesson planning.
This course is applicable to all educators, administrators, and any related service providers of all subjects, grades K-12.
45 hours / 3 credits in-service and graduate credits.
